Mr. Robert Lee Bozier was born on March 17, 1953 in Pinewood, S.C. where he was raised in a Christian home to the late James and Sarah Gaymon-Bozier.
Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Sarah Gaymon-Bozier, four brothers, Levi, James, William and Thomas Bozier.
Robert was known as a sharp dresser, so sharp that his work uniform for the White Plains Department of Sanitation had to be pressed and ironed with creases. Robert worked for the Department of Sanitation for many years until he became ill in September, 2005.
Robert moved back home to South Carolina in 2019 where he was cared for by two of his sisters, Comilla Johnson and Lizzie Allen until two of nieces Lora Bosier and Tineka Allen took over in 2020. His sister Lucille Smith moved down in 2022 to also help care for him as well. Robert’s health began to decline and he became a patient of the McLeod Hospice team in which his nurses Kari, Cynthia, Dr. Eggerton Marci and Rev. Jake were awesome!
Mr. Bozier leaves to cherish his memories his only son, Jamie Mickens of Baltimore, Maryland; his beautiful granddaughter, Madison Mickens of Georgia; four sisters, Comilla Johnson, Lizzie Allen, Lucille Smith all of Summerton, South Carolina and Juline (Gary) Stukes of Elmsford, New York; three brothers, Marvin (Catherine) Bozier of Davis Station, South Carolina, Harry (Jacqueline) Bozier of White Plains, New York and Leon (Brenda) Bozier of Norcross, Georgia; two sister in laws, Ruthie Mae Bozier of Summerton, South Carolina and Cynthia Bozier of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
